Yep, I've got a red patch on my butt. Dammit. Even though they've got me on this air bed, I'm starting to develop a sore. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will not turn into a bad one.
It's so frustrating because I'm not allowed to move much and so I lay in the same position and then bad things such as bed sores develop. Up until now the nurses kept remarking on what great skin I have. In my 31 years of paralysis, I've never had a problem with sores until just a few years ago I got one when I was in the hospital for a week with pneumonia. It wasn't too hard to heal though and hopefully this time will be the same.
