Pre-op appointment earlier today

I'm still scheduled for surgery on Monday the 7th.

The doctor wants to try a different sort of surgery. Instead of making one big incision in my back and splaying me wide open, he wants to make numerous small incisions on either side of my original back surgery scar and insert the rods that way. He says this will make recovery easier and reduce the risk of infection. I see no reason to not attempt to do it this way. He said it may not work and he'll have to open me up anyway, but I'm willing to let him try it that way. He will still have to open my side though to get to the vertebrae.

Hardware will be added from T5 to L3.
